Rigour and Whimsy Bite of the Dragon 2023
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRigour & Whimsy are a tiny garagiste, family-owned winery based in Okanagan Falls, sourcing vineyards across the Okanagan for their creative and adventuresome (and artfully labelled) portfolio, one that changes annually. Though we've seen this cuvée before, in 2023 it comes off Osoyoos' Sekhon Family Vineyards, and was whole cluster pressed, and barrel fermented and aged in older wood on full solids prior to racking into stainless for a stint before bottling. Bone dry and textural, with an earthy, stony lees bed to base ripe pear, peach, and yellow apple, licked with yogurt, and seasoned with a kiss of lime pith and white pepper.
