Phantom Creek Estates Methode Traditionelle Brut 2017

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA lost sparkler, buried in the cellar since its inception in 2017, was disgorged in May 2022 after 47 months on its lees. With all the winemaking changes, it was left untouched in the cellar since winemaker Ross Wise laid it down in 2017 and Mark Beringer resurrected it. It is a 63/34 chardonnay/pinot noir mix that has been disgorged and released after another two years of bottle age. It is an outstanding first-release effort that has benefited from the extended lease contract. It's not overly complex, but it has vibrancy and finesse within its ripe Meyer lemon and golden apple flavours, framed by a light dusting of toasted hazelnuts and fresh baking notes. The mousse is persistent and very fine in size. Ready to drink and somewhat Champenoise-like. Recommended.Tasted: 22 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
