Marqués de la Concordia Rioja Reserva 2018

Rioja Alavesa, Rioja, SpainThe fruit is sourced from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa vineyards, growing at 650m above sea level in poor, calcareous clay soils. It's fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and aged for 24 months in French and American barrels. The attack is medium weight with ripe black fruit, spicy incense nuances, and minimal tannins. Soft and round, it slides down quickly in a mix of wild blackberries streaked with balsamic and vanilla oak. Easy to like and drink. A classic paella would be a fine match.Tasted: 16 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
