Lightning Rock Reserve Pinot Noir Canyonview Vineyard 2022

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Canyonview Reserve is one of several pinots made at Summerland's Lightning Rock Winery. Ther reserve version of Canyonview Vineyard is marked by its distinctive black label. The vines, now 22 years old, are planted in sandy granite-streaked soils in Upper Summerland. The reserve selection comes off Block C and is whole cluster fermented. Look for a dark cherry red colour with sweet black cherry mixed with mossy forest floors and earth. The palate is silky smooth, even at 12.5%, with more ripe dark plum, cherry, and a touch of stems. Another example of the specialty of Summerland's terroir. Drink or hold. Only four barrels were made and are only available to club members.Tasted: 30 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
