FranceThis 23 hectare Chateau Haut Mazieres is located in Rauzan, where the soil is clay over limestone. The ususal blend is 65/20/15 merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc. Plums and vanilla tones waft from the glass, along with some spicy floral notes. Jammy cassis and dark plum rule the palate while structured, fine-grained tannins, all in harmony, fill out the finish.
