Chateau de Sancerre Rouge 2022
Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceThis is light and juicy, keeping in the Sancerre rouge (read: pinot noir) idiom. But there's a notch more depth and ripeness here than you can often find in the category. It starts with a deeper medium ruby hue, and a combination of cranberry and tart cherry, backed by floral and mineral accents. The palate is surprisingly rich and structured, and it's easy to imagine this will be better in 3-5 years. Serve lightly chilled to get the most from this fruit.Tasted: 29 August 2024Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:BC | $45.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Icon Fine Wines and Spirits |
