Black Hills Addendum 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Ross Wise has been fine tuning the Addendum since the beginning, reducing the oak influence while heading to a cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc blend. In 2022, he pivoted to a merlot dominant blend with 20% cabernet franc aged for a year in 35% new French oak. The attack is still rich and full flavoured with black fruit and some toasted oak dominating the palate, but the tannins are dense and chalky, making it easy to consume now. Drink or hold, this is an excellent mid-term red that will age through 2026-2027. Highly endorsed by the judges at the 2024 National Wine Awards of Canada.Tasted: 06 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
