Unsworth Vineyards Pinot Gris Saison Vineyards 2023

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaThe long-running relationship between Unsworth and the Saison Vineyard Pinot Gris is closing in on 15 years. Over time, the evolution of this fruit has taken it to a single vineyard bottling. The Saison effect is all about increased intensity and delicacy. It is primarily fermented in stainless steel with a minor amount of neutral French oak (10%). The style is coastal electric with a silky, leesy, electric undercurrent and a chiselled, fresh mid palate of saline washed stone and minerals. Assorted shellfish all work well here.Tasted: 21 July 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
