Chivite Las Fincas Rosado 2023

Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla, SpainThe Chivite Las Fincas range was born from a longstanding friendship between the Chivite and Arzak families. Juan Mari Arzak Arratibel is a Spanish chef and owner of Arzak restaurant in San Sebastian. He is considered one of the great masters of New Basque cuisine, something he describes as "evolutionary, investigatory, and avant-garde." This is the latest wine from the collaboration between Julián Chivite and the Arzak family, and like last year, it is delicious. The colour is Provençal pale, while the nose is a subtle mix of floral and citrus, and the palate a mix of rose petals, strawberries, raspberries, grapefruit, and cranberries. This is a gastronomic rosé, from its complex, silky textures to its ability to complement everything from simple pizza to a main course, such as lemon roasted chicken. The blend is 70/30 garnacha tinta and tempranillo, and it spends six months in stainless steel before going to the bottle.Tasted: 12 July 2024Tasted by: Prices:
