Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOff their estate Boulder City Vineyard, in Oliver, this cab franc is rooted in alluvial soils of sand, silt, and gravels. This was 80% whole berry / 20% destemmed, cold soaked and then fermented in stainless before aging in French oak (33% new) for 14 months. Noticeably smoky, with black cherry, raspberry jam, tart cassis, roasted coffee, and wood toast, this fuller red is wrapped with finely gritty tannins, taking this to a bitter edged finish.
