Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis traditional method sparkler from Okanagan Falls opens with layered aromas of baked apple, Bartlett pear, pie crust, and a touch of cinnamon spices and aged hard cheese. It’s made from 78% chardonnay and 22% pinot noir picked at 18 brix. It shows good development at this stage, carried by a firm line of bright acidity. The dosage sits at only 2.5 g/L, yet it doesn’t come across as austere. Extended lees aging for 66 months, along with further time in bottle after disgorgement, adds creamy richness and well integrated savoury notes through the finish. Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Home Vineyard is the source of The One Grand Reserve, whose fruit comprises 78% chardonnay clones 76 and 95 planted in 2003, and 22% Pinot Noir clones 114, 115, and 777 planted in 2001 and 2008. It comes from south and north facing slopes planted over sand, gravel, and rock in Okanagan Falls. It is a terroir particularly suited to making complex sparkling wine, according to Noble Ridge Director of Winemaking & Viticulture, Benoît Gauthier. The original fruit was picked at a mouthwatering 18 Brix, supplying the acidity and energy to a wine that is now eight full years down the road and ageing gracefully. The orchard fruit is fading under a patina of almonds and cashews, with a streak of peach compote and apple pie crust in its extended, mouth-filling finish, accompanied by a hint of salinity and minerals. Best of all, it's still improving in the bottle at a bargain price. This was whole cluster pressed, cool fermented for the base wine, and then undergoes a second fermentation in bottle, spending 66 months on the lees.Tasted: 03 November 2025Tasted by: Prices:

The Home Vineyard is the source of The One Grand Reserve, a 78/22 mix of chardonnay/pinot noir that makes up this intriguing wine. The original fruit was picked at mouthwatering 18 Brix, supplying the acidity and the electricity to a wine that is now seven years down the road, ageing gracefully in bottle. The orchard fruit is fading under a patina of almonds and cashews with a streak of peach compote in the back end.
