Liber Farm and Winery Rebil Craftman's Blend 2018

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Rebil Craftsman's Blend 2018 is a unique mix of merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, and petit verdot, all from small lot, old vine plantings in the south Okanagan. At five years old, it initially had a bit of rubber on the nose, but with time, that dissipated, revealing a wine bursting with black fruit and savoury desert scrub, an accurate representation of the south Okanagan. The palate is intense with wild, savoury Similkameen, and black fruit. It's a continuation of the same on the palate, with spicy, peppery, dry black fruits and a cedar licorice undercurrent through the finish. This wine will benefit from expanding in the bottle for another year or two, but it's also enjoyable now, especially with grilled beef or lamb. Wine club members, particularly, should find this wine irresistible upon release.Tasted: 12 May 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
