Haywire Pinot Gris King Family Vineyard 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 vintage was in peril right to the end, but a long, dry fall saved the day. This pinot gris from King Family Vineyards sits overlooking the lake just north of Munson Mountain on the Naramata Bench. The batch was whole cluster pressed into concrete tanks for fermentation with natural yeast and aging on lees. It is classically clean and fresh, with pears and tropical citrus dusted in Okanagan desert scrub. It is ready to drink and, more importantly, fun to drink.
