FranceThe Bertrand folks describe Le Chouchou as something that answers new consumer trends by being a tender, light, fresh red wine. It is also soft, with a strawberry sweetness, and frankly not that interesting. I would rather drink any of the Bertrand rosés. The alcohol is 11 percent, and grapes come from the high altitude terroirs of the Cévennes. The blend is grenache, syrah, and cinsault.
