Boutinot La Fleur Solitaire Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2019

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceLa Fleur Solitaire is the only white wine in the Boutinot Rhône range, hence its Solitaire moniker. This Côtes du Rhône mixes grenache blanc with marsanne, roussanne, viognier, bourboulenc, and clairette, and will thoroughly entertain you. The fruit comes from selected vineyards in the southern Rhône. Over the years, the portion vinified in stainless steel has grown, with just under a third of the wine now vinified and matured for six months in mostly 3rd fill French oak barrels to add complexity and a creamy texture. It smells like the southern Rhône with floral, licorice, and soft, round, creamy, ripe yellow fruit. It is still hanging in there for 2019. It is best served with white asparagus, or creamy chicken with tarragon sauce.Tasted: 22 May 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
