Valle de Aconcagua, Region de Aconcagua, ChileRocas de Seña, as you may have deduced, is the second wine of Seña. Second wines speak to the history of wine in Bordeaux, and traditionally, they were made with fruit from younger vines and barrels that failed to make the cut for the number one label. The Rocas 2020 was the first such label released by Seña commercially, although it appears to be more of a standalone label. It is a softer version with fewer tannins, making it more approachable now. The blend mixes malbec, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, grenache, and petit verdot, leading to a vibrant and more critically complex red. Look for a bright mix of red fruits, meat, tobacco, mushrooms, dried herbs, and green olives.
