Montagne de Reims, Champagne, FranceSébastien Mouton is a 9th generation vigneron in Champagne, based in GC Verzy, and certified organic (practicing biodynamic) on his Montagne de Reims estate's chalk, clay, and flint soils. This pinot noir rose is from GC Verzy, entirely 2018 vintage, and spent 16 hours on skins to impart the deep cerise hue. This bottle was disgorged January 2022 with 1.5 g/L. Gutsy and forward rhubarb, ripe red apple, candied cherry riffs across the dry palate, finishing with a crushed stone twist.
