Spearhead Pinot Noir Pommard Clone 2022

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Spearhead Pommard Cllone label is sourced from Summerland on the west side of Okanagan Lake. Winemaker Grant Stanley macerated this fruit for 6 days, extracting colouring and tannins without building up alcohol, before a spontaneous fermentation took over, and it moved to 25% new French oak to age for 13 months. The nose is an open dark fruit affair, pitching black cherries and spicy florals. Juicy black raspberry and cherry finish with a savoury, earthy back end. Dare, I say, Bourgogne styled. More decadent dishes work here, like pork or duck.Tasted: 25 March 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
