Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe President's Blend is an 85/10/5 mix of malbec, cabernet sauvignon, and syrah from two sites: the malbec and syrah are from the El Cepillo Vineyard, Uco Valley; while the cabernet sauvignon is grown at vineyards in San José, Tupungato. The malbec and syrah age for 16 months in French oak casks, and the cabernet spends 16 months in French oak barriques. The nose is a floral, red fruit affair with delicate, stony mineral undertones. On the palate, juicy black plums, cassis, and smoked cloves conspire to capture your attention before fading into a balsamic, soft, textured finish. This will easily cellar through 2028 and beyond.
