Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaPequeñas Producciones is focused on typicity of variety, and it starts with the best suited terroir, says winemaker Matias Cipriani. The alluvial soils at El Cepillo Vineyard in the Uco Valley are deep sandy loam with rocks rich in calcium carbonate (caliche) and are home to his pinot, which opens with a classic pale pinot colour. The style is earthy and reserved, with more terroir than muted cherry and blueberry. The alcohol is moderate, adding some elegance to a medium-long, dry finish.
