Visintini Friulano 2020

Friuli-Venezia Giulia, ItalyThe Visintini estate, once the location for the Castle of Gramogliano, has been in the family since 1884, and has a history dating back to 1290. Located on the hills south of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali area, this estate rests on the border with DOC Collio, and alongside the provinces of Udine and Gorizia. Today siblings Oliviero, Cinzia, and Palmira farm and produce all the wines organically / biodynamically. This friulano was done entirely in stainless, to preserve freshness. Crunchy pear, white grapefruit, almond blossom shines on this sleek, medium bodied palate, tightened with tart lemon verbena, and finishing with river stones on a humming finish. Lovely freshness and purity here, and one to pour alongside fresh green veg dishes / spring risotto.Tasted: 22 January 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
