Mayhem Anarchy Merlot 2021
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnarchy comes off the Anarchist Mountain Vineyard planted in 1994 by the Mauz family and is predominately merlot with only 2% cabernet franc in the mix. Post ferment, each variety was aged separately in 53% new 47% used French oak for 11 months. The blend is made then, and the wine returns to the barrel for 9 more months. The nose is a fragrant floral affair with roses, cherries, and savoury desert notes. On the palate, savoury, smoky dark plum mixes with black and blue fruits, spice, and bitter dark chocolate.
