Champagne Nominé Renard Brut NV

Champagne, FranceBased in Vallée de la Marne's Villevenard, the Nominé family's vineyards extend over 20 hectares, spread over the slopes of Petit Morin, Sézannais, and the Marne. The diversity gives 3rd generation Simon Nominé lots to work with in his blends. Their flagship NV Brut blends 40% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir, and 30% pinot meunier from 6 villages (30 different plots) across the terroirs above, with 3/4 of the blend from the most recent 3 vintages, and 25% perpetual reserve. My bottle was 2021 base, disgorged in October 2023 with 7 g/L. Toast, vanilla wafer, red apple, lemon pith and peel feel quite grippy up front, with a bitter lemon twist, and trailing salinity on the finish. Friendly and accessible.Tasted: 30 November 2024Tasted by: Prices:
