Based on 2020, this was disgorged April 2023 with 9 g/L. Based raspberry, cherry leather, perfumed red blossoms, and toast lead a focused, red currant palate, with oxidative notes creeping in and clouding the rhubarb finish. The diversity gives 3rd generation Simon Nominé lots to work with in his blends. This BdN comes from 2 plots, one in Villevenard (60% pinot noir) and one in Charly sur Marne (40% pinot meunier), and from vines 20-45 years. It's primarily 2014, with 10% reserve wines, and it spent 3 years on lees before disgorge with 9.5 g/L. There is lovely sharp and detailed black fruit here, herbal edged, over a chalky lees base, finishing with a chiselled, saline finish. Super smart.Tasted: 01 December 2023Tasted by: Prices:
