Rioja, SpainShowing a medium garnet hue, this matured Rioja Gran Reserva has been aged for over 7 years. Oak notes of vanillin, dill, and coconut dominate the nose and palate, yet are not overpowering. There's a surprising amount of youthful fruitiness with plum and red cherry, layered with tertiary notes of dried cranberries, leather, and tobacco. It presents a nice complexity, highlighting freshness and lightness rather than sheer power.
