Bachelder Lowrey Old Vines Pinot Noir 2021

St David's Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThese pinot vines were planted between 1988-1993 in St. David's Bench Lowrey Vineyard, rooted in a band of clay/loam soils overtop a limestone base. It was native fermented and then aged 20 months in slightly used and neutral Burgundian barrels. Forest moss, wild cherry, black raspberries are kissed with anise and red florals, while fine, long tannins frame this bright pinot through the peppery finish. Not the prettiest pinot, but full of charm.Tasted: 15 December 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
