Mosel, GermanyThe Zeltinger Himmelreich (Kingdom of Heaven) Kabinett Halbtrocken is a model Mosel riesling that demonstrates some of the region's best aspects. It is wild yeast fermented, allowing an overwhelming floral scent lined with spice and dried herbs to draw you into the glass. The attack is juicy and crunchy with citrus and fresh cut apple bathed in a saline stony finish. It is off-dry at 14 g/L residual sugar, but you hardly notice thanks to its electric undercurrent. Ready to drink but it will live forever. Serve whatever you want.
