High Note Verismo Syrah 2021
British Columbia, CanadaVerismo Syrah is described as living up to the winery motto: honest, raw, and uncompromising. The source is the elegant, mineral-driven Golden Mile Bench, which is the perfect tonic for a powerful syrah that pitches all it can from a savoury, peppery nose to an equally savoury spicy palate of floral (violets) and local sagebrush before the back and blue fruits blueberry and black currant kick in. Surprisingly restrained in the finished, it is wise beyond its years. The fruit comes off Rattlesnake Vineyard and is aged in French oak barriques.
