High Note Capriccio Riesling 2022

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAccording the Capriccio folks their wines are all about feeling, and in this case giving the riesling room to be itself by ageing it in a combination of concrete and stainless steel eggs. The style is stark, with high total acidity that pretty much obliterates the 7.2 grams per litre of residual sugar. Expect a cutting edge dry riesling that’s big on vibrancy, electricity and minerality, and low of fruit. Floral and chalky, but mostly subtle, this is a food wine and you can explore a wide range of dishes with this style. The fruit comes from Sunflower Vineyard in Oliver. The match is BC shellfish or spot prawn risotto.Tasted: 08 November 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
