Filipa Pato Post Quer..s Baga 2022

Bairrada, Northern Portugal, PortugalThese biodynamic Baga grapes are handpicked from various partials in Bairrada, partly destemmed, and native fermented in 500-700L amphorae with very little extraction and a long maceration on the skins. After the fermentation the wine is pressed off and returned to amphorae for 6 months' aging. This is softly juicy and jubilant, with baga's inherent tannins softened by the amphora, leaving wild downy plum, rockrose, thorns, perfumed scrubby rosemary framed with lightly sticky tannins and lingering with raspy pink peppercorn.Tasted: 16 November 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
