Da Silva Legado Pinot Noir 2020
Penticton Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA fine example of pinot noir's range in the hands of the right winemaker. Initially, aromas of black cherry, darker fruits, tar, and roses greet. The flavours are big, a little exotic, dark, and slightly spicy with good supporting acidity. The precise tension amongst these elements also makes it elegant and focused. This singular, barrel marked, big bodied combination of flavours shouldn't work, but quite beautifully does.
