Crushed florals, wild raspberry and fragrant plum teem through the textural palate, streaked with scrubby resinous herbs and framed with sticky, plumped tannins. There's a lovely mineral stoniness threaded throughout this medium wine, drawing you to a saline finish. Piedmont, ItalyThis organic dolcetto comes from fifth-generation growers in Dogliani. The fruit comes off San Luigi Vineyard, which sits at 400m elevation. We loved the 2020 vintage, and the new 2022 vintage could be even better. There's a fantastic purity to the black cherry and dark plum, which is lifted by enticing lavender aromatics.
