The nose is pleasantly aromatic, pitching classic cedar, tobacco, and ripe blackberry that spill onto the palate, where black plum and spice pulls you to a dry, pleasant finish. A solid introductory style that is perfect for grilled sausages and a favourite braised dish. The family has been farming the land and making wine in the Livermore Valley since 1883. The cabernet is made with two clones originally planted by pioneer Charles Wetmore from 19th century Bordeaux cuttings.
