One Faith Vineyards Reserve Pinot Blanc 2022

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe long, cold, wet spring set back the pinot blanc, resulting in a later than average bud break. A super hot summer similarly delayed the growth in the vineyard, all of which led to a later cool ripening period in the fall that turned out to be warm and dry as well. This pinot blanc is, at the very least, exciting and the longer you taste it, the more interesting it gets. It is reminiscent of a Northern Italian pinot bianco with a pronounced citrus and almond nose amid a wash of stony minerality. The west Skaha vineyard gets the warm morning sun before slipping into cooler late-day conditions, seemingly ideal for pinot blanc. Look for fresh, bright fruit pitching crisp apple with a touch of honey, and a gooseberry wash. Fresh and lively, this would be an excellent turkey wine and something you could serve with halibut or a classic onion tart.Tasted: 10 October 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
