Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Grenache -Vermentino - Viognier 2020

Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceCôte des Roses celebrates the Mediterranean/Languedoc lifestyle, blending local grapes grenache, viognier, and vermentino, harvested separately at perfect ripeness. Bertrand pays particular attention to the pressing to ensure that only the first, highest quality juice is kept. Fermentation lasts between 15 and 30 days, and after light fining, the wine is bottled quite early to preserve its freshness and fruit. Look for a golden yellow colour with citrus and exotic tropical fruit, mixing floral, pineapple, and pear. The palate is equally fully flavoured with candied pears, melons, and pineapples with a twist of minerality. It is pleasing but straightforward, and perfect for steamed shellfish.Tasted: 14 October 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
