Catena Malbec Lunlunta Vineyards 2021

Maipú, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaLunlunta is a district of Maipú, southeast of the city of Mendoza. You can feel the warmth of the appellation here, which lies at a lower elevation relative to Lujan de Cuyo to the west, with lush blackberry and blueberry that has the concentration to carry the generous, mocha-tinged oak (25-40% new for 6-8 months). The tannins are plush and fine, with soft acidity that suggests this will be best enjoyed in its youth. Fans of ripe, fruit-driven Mendoza malbec will find a lot to like here, at a fair price, to boot.Tasted: 14 October 2023Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
