Priorato, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainPerpetual is from Cariñena and Garnacha vines 80+ years, rooted in llicorella slate slopes across 5 Priorat municipalities: El Lloar, Porrera, Torroja, El Molar, and Bellmunt. With 2 weeks skin contact, this was fermented in stainless before heading to French foudres (40% new) for 18 months. 19,000 bottles were produced. In a beauty state now, with long, fine tannins melting into the cascading liquorice, black plum, cassis, thorns, and ferrous notes flooding the muscular, refined palate. Acidity is naturally mountainous bright, and the texture is salty slate, lingering on the lengthy finish.
