Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIf a blend of viognier/chardonnay sounds luscious, it is because it is. Thick and viscous as they come, this opens with super ripe apricot and honeysuckle intertwined with oatmeal. Similar weight and fruit coat the palate and remain intense throughout the finish, earning the label moniker ‘thick.’ This was barrel fermented and received light bâtonnage during a 16-month rest in neutral and second year French oak. As ripe as it tastes, only 2.35 grams per litre of residual sugar exists.
