Moon Curser Eclipse 2021

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt’s year two for Eclipse, a sparkling 60/40 blend of roussanne and marsanne made in the traditional method. The colour is straw yellow, and the nose a complex offering of yeasty, leesy notes mixed with a hint of nectarines. The palate has the weight you might expect from these traditional Rhône white grapes but remains dry and somewhat underripe. Look for a mix of quince, almonds, lemons, marzipan and creamy bubbles that keep you returning to the glass. It has the texture and freshness to work with oysters but is rich enough for more substantial mains. A touch more ripeness would make a big difference.Tasted: 01 August 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
