Burgundy, FranceIf you want to know what the introductory Old World style is versus the same as the New World, this Bourgogne is a good example. The nose is subdued, and the attack is spare with fresh acidity and dry, earthy beetroot notes with a tiny amount of red fruit. It is basic red Burgundy, a far cry from Burgundy's famous wines but still selling at +$40 that must be served with food.
