Leyda Coastal Vineyards Las Brisas Pinot Noir 2022

Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileCoastal Vineyards of Las Brisas bask in reflected sunlight and cool ocean breezes during the growing season, and are planted to a mix of clones, including 777, 115, GA 02, and Clone 16. Half of the grapes go into open tanks, and the other half is fermented in closed stainless steel vats. Post ferment, it is racked into French oak barrels, concrete vats, untoasted foudres, and stainless steel. Each component is aged for ten months before the final blend totalling 26% concrete vats, 14% French oak barrels, 12% untoasted foudres, and 48% stainless steel tanks. The nose is highly expressive with juicy red fruits dominated by raspberries, cranberries, and cherries, all with underlying mushroom, white pepper, and floral mineral scents. Complex for the price and very food friendly.Tasted: 22 August 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
