Montsant, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainLes Argiles d’Orto is a grenache rosé grown organically, biodynamically, and regeneratively on small clay terraces planted in 2001. It gets five hours of skin contact and post fermentation it remains on lees until spring. This is a fruit forward style pitching rose petals, candied cherries, strawberries, and raspberries, with a touch of citrus rind in the finish. It has the weight to take on food but is certainly pleasant enough to be served solo.
