Emandare Pinot Noir 2021
Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaQuite shy on the nose, with light blueberry, some baking spice, wet forest, and light red berries in the mix. A very soft texture on entry leads slowly to a subtle, relatively mild, fruit driven mid-palate with unsweetened preserved strawberries. The drifting finish is raspberry, with a bit of mulberry amidst fine-grained tannins. Still, it needs another year or two for the fruit to elaborate, but drinks very pleasurably now. Perhaps the best pinot noir yet from Emandare.Tasted: 22 August 2023Tasted by: Brent GushowatyPrices:BC | $45.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
