Doudet Naudin Vin de France 2021

FranceBurgundy know how on the wind swept slopes of Languedoc’s Aude Valley appears to be a fine match in heaven. Christophe Rochet, the current head of Doudet-Naudin, Established in Burgundy in 1849, is committed to maintaining the values of this respected Maison while restructuring it for the future. A case in point is this Languedoc Pinot Noir labelled Vin de France, likely done to not disturb the peace in Burgundy by mentioning the Languedoc and pinot noir on the label. Yet this wine is far more charming than most elementary Bourgogne, and tens of dollars cheaper. Both fruity and floral, it hits the palate with a smooth slurry of earthy, mineral red fruits finished in a dry style.Tasted: 13 August 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
