Unsworth Vineyards Petit Milo 2021

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaPetit (with or without the e) Milo is a Blattner hybrid engineered in Switzerland to be happy in a marine/cool/wet climate. It has a home in Nova Scotia and Vancouver Island, with this Unsworth version showing some extra cool climate class. It is off dry, an anomaly for Unsworth, but I bet it is a massive hit on the patio with consumers. Look for ripe pears, peaches, and candied citrus throughout, but in a relatively skinny package so there are no cloying flavours. There is a twist of pink grapefruit to pull you down into the glass, with hints of almonds and minerals on the way out. Pure, juicy, lively and food friendly, it is worth a try. The winery recommends warm winter vegetable dishes from squash to root vegetables, roasted with some honey, pumpkin seeds, a squeeze of lemon, and finished with good salt.Tasted: 27 July 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
