Rueda, Castilla-Leon, SpainCeleste Verdejo is a new sister label to the familiar Celeste Crianza from Ribera del Duero. This white, however, comes from Rueda, and clay / gravel riverbeds on the left bank of the Duero River. This verdejo had 3 hours cold skin maceration before ferment in stainless, where it remained for 2 months. Tight and zippy, with guava, prickly pear, lemon thistle, and green herbs across a zesty palate, finishing with a snappy citrus twist.
