Stag's Hollow Albariño Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard 2022
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine has been consistent with its white flower nose and super ripe peach, grown at Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. The palate is rich with apricot, lemon, lime and medium acidity with a touch of exotic fruits. The grapes are gently handled and fermented separately, with a portion racked after 12 hours of settling into stainless steel barrels and French oak barriques (one new, one 3rd fill, and two 4th fill). The remaining juice is settled for 24 hours and transferred into two concrete tanks. The wine spends four months on its lees before the separate lots are blended, stabilized, filtered, and bottled. Albariño is seldom this rich, but adding it all up gets the job done.
