Solvero Pinot Gris 2022
Garnet Valley, Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIn mid-October, Solvero’s first commercial release pinot gris was harvested from 21 year old, low yielding vines. The fermentation was cool and extended over 21 days until dryness, in a combination of 50/50 stainless steel tanks and neutral French oak, and then aged for four months before bottling. There is a lot of texture here, which is rare in most local pinot gris. I like the floral nose and palate with creamy honey, nectarine, and a strong hint of minerality.
