Rocca delle Macìe Moonlite Chardonnay 2021
Maremma, Tuscany, ItalyPrevious editions of this label were chardonnay blends, but 2022 is entirely chardonnay, and it is impressive for the price. As gregarious as Italians are portrayed and at times can be, this chardonnay is cool, calm, and collected. The fruit is balanced with acidity and a mineral undercurrent that keeps each sip fresh and inviting. To the best effect, you can serve this with any white meats or fresh shellfish, or a creamy pasta with fresh garden peas would be a super pairing. Well done, and I love the price.
