Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis pleasant syrah comes off as drinkable despite its age. Look for bright, ripe cherry and a juicy, lively palate. The tannins and peppery notes are present but primarily soft through the back end. 2020 had an especially warm and welcomed finish to the growing season, allowing for full ripeness for the late ripening syrah. The grapes were sourced from eight estate vineyard blocks on the Black Sage and Golden Mile benches, and the wine is aged 16 months in French and American oak barrels (23% new). The final blend contains four percent malbec.
